Joe’s first year hasn’t been as his parents Amy and Jack had imagined. They were told Joe was deaf when he was just two weeks old. They felt terrified, bewildered, and afraid for the future.
But thanks to the generosity of our supporters, they've had the chance to learn they aren't alone. They've met other parents with deaf children, heard deaf young people talk about their lives, and had access to specialist support and advice. Now Amy and Jack can see a future for Joe. They know he’s not going to let his deafness stop him from making friends and enjoying life. Joe’s first birthday party was filled with laughter, cake and joy. Joe loved every minute of it.
With your support, we can help give even more deaf children the support they need right from the start, and look forward to a future without barriers.
